The Magicana Tony Eng Youth Fund and Sorcerers Safari Magic Camp are proud to offer an opportunity for two lucky people to win a free front row ticket to either of the Daniel Garcia lectures.

We are giving away two tickets, one for the lecture in Toronto on Thursday August 20th and the other for the lecture in Niagara Falls on Sunday August 23rd.

Win a ticket to see DG - Contest Details:  If you are interested in magic, are between the ages of 13 and 18 years and want to attend the lecture, then send us a brief email telling us why you’d like to attend the Daniel Garcia lecture and what you hope to gain by attending.

Be sure to include your first and last name, email, age, home telephone, city of residence, and which lecture you'd like to attend - Toronto, or Niagara.

Note: by submitting your entry, you are confirming that your parent/guardian consents to your entry.

 

Contest Rules: Entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on August 13. All eligible entries will be entered in for a random draw, on August 14. The selected winner (s) will be invited to attend the lecture to sit FRONT ROW, free of charge, courtesy of the Tony Eng Youth Fund. The winners will be notified by email on August 14.

Who is Tony Eng & what's this fund all about?

In 2008, the Magicana Tony Eng Youth Fund was created in memory of a wonderful man named Tony Eng (1946 - 2008).

Tony Eng astounded and astonished audiences for more than a half-century. An engaging performer, Mr. Eng practiced the venerable arts of hocus-pocus and legerdemain. He displayed a showman's verve and a craftsman's precision whether as a stage performer, a close-up magician or the proprietor of a magic emporium in Victoria, BC.

The self-proclaimed "Ambassador of Magic" - well-known for his practical jokes, but better for his joie de vivre - passed away in May 2008 at the age of 61 due to complications from cancer.

This fund is a reminder of his great influence and will continue to share his legacy so future generations of magicians may benefit as well.
